Every woman’s needs are different, and the approach is to restore natural body system balance by addressing individual needs in a caring, sympathetic and professional way.
Your concerns may be difficult to identify, for example those relating to emotional disturbance such as anxiety, anger, grief, poor diet, overwork or stress. On the other hand your condition may be quite specific involving:
» unexplained fertility problems
» polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
» endometriosis
» dysmenorrhoea (period pain)
» amenorrhoea (no periods)
» menopausal symptoms
» high follicle stimulating hormone (FSH)
» morning sickness and back pain in pregnancy
» neck, back and joint pain
» anxiety, stress and depression
» full support for women undergoing conventional assisted reproductive
techniques such as IVF, ICSI, IUI etc.
The approach at the Natural Health and Fertility Clinic is to consider each person’s individual needs and address these in a holistic and integrated way with appropriate treatment or treatments using a range of therapies.
Before embarking on treatment we recommend an initial consultation (usually one hour) with one of our experienced therapists where, against the background of your previous medical history, we discuss the issues which are of concern to you. These can range from general anxiety to period pains to fertility problems or preconception planning etc. We need to establish what is concerning you. These issues are discussed fully with a view to determining and agreeing the action most appropriate to your needs and the appropriate treatment programme . Where the clinic cannot help we would hope to be able to refer you to an appropriate provider.
Once a treatment programme is agreed, our mission is to work with you in a caring, professional way to ensure that the time you spend with us is stress-free, satisfying and effective in addressing your needs.
It is well known that, for a variety of reasons, a growing number of couples experience difficulties in conceiving, often leading to stress which may exacerbate the problem. Many couples ultimately choose the conventional route of IVF, ICSI, IUI etc.
Jacqueline and some of her colleagues have specialised in complementary therapies, particularly acupuncture, to improve the prospect of conception and to assist through the pregnancy. There is a growing volume of evidence to support the efficacy of acupuncture in treating infertility which may be accompanied by other therapies such as dietary advice etc.
Whilst the medical establishment is yet to be fully convinced, Jacqueline is content to refer to over 50 of her patients over the past 18 months who have become pregnant and given birth to healthy babies. The Clinic provides a tailored programme of treatment based on Jacqueline’s and her colleagues’ experience, both as a complement to conventional treatment such as IVF, ICSI, IUI or alone. This treatment takes account of the stressful nature of the problem and of the need for sympathetic counselling throughout.
